Ideal eggshells for etching and dying.
Sizes: range from 2" - 2.5 -3"  = 5.08 - 6.35 - 7.62 cm. (Size comparison to a jumbo chicken egg). 
Turkey eggshells take dyes like no other!  
Any stains on the shell(s) will not affect dyes, the dying process, or the designs. Leftover shadows after de-spotting will disappear during the etching and dying process. 
Preservation of spots on a Pysanka or Batik egg can be sealed under wax in desired areas. 
HELPFUL TIP - if the eggshell(s) is not absorbing dyes as expected, plug the drain hole and soak it in vinegar for 30 seconds to a minute. Repeating may be necessary - timing is key.
Ideal for dyeing, mild etching, painting with acrylics, beading, covering with paper, fabric, jewels, stickers, collages, decoupage, markers or just about anything that can be glued on.

  • What you need to know...

    All eggshells are candled against cracks and other defects. Guaranteed structurally sound.

    Eggshells have one small drilled hole, centred, on the wide end bottom, blown out, washed (no harsh chemicals) & rinsed inside and outside of the shell.  Eggshells are air-dried. The cleaning process will not affect dyes or other materials

    • Remove all wraps after receiving your package and inspect all the eggshells.  
    • PLEASE BE SURE TO ALLOW 24 -48 hours in house temperature before use.
